Abnormal
Abnormal AI is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join the Cellular Infrastructure team, which manages the complete lifecycle of the company's cell-based deployment architecture. You'll handle infrastructure bootstrapping, application stack deployment, cell health and compliance, and work across the stack to solve complex problems spanning infrastructure and application layers. The role involves designing secure, cost-efficient infrastructure in AWS and Azure environments while building and maintaining automation tooling that reduces manual work and accelerates time-to-production. This position suits engineers with 4+ years of production cloud infrastructure experience who are comfortable straddling infrastructure and application engineering. You'll need hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, Python (beyond scripting), and AWS fundamentals like VPC, IAM, EKS, and CloudWatch. Experience with on-call rotations, incident response, and using generative AI tools in engineering workflows is essential. The role demands strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a remote-first environment while collaborating closely with product and application teams. Remote position in the USA offering a base salary of $149,200–$214,500 USD plus potential bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Prior exposure to cell-based or multi-tenant architectures, Bash, Golang, or data infrastructure tools like Spark and Databricks would be advantageous, though not required.
