Airbnb seeks a seasoned Senior Staff UX Writer to lead content strategy and execution for its International team, based in London. You'll shape how the platform communicates with users across key European markets—Italy, Germany, Spain, France, and the UK—by developing culturally sensitive language and interfaces that reflect regional needs and norms. This role involves crafting copy across multiple product touchpoints, establishing UX writing workflows and standards for a newly forming global team, and mentoring other writers to maintain quality and consistency. You'll drive strategic initiatives from concept through detailed design, working with country managers, localization specialists, linguists, researchers, and engineers to create inclusive products for both guests and hosts. Your days include writing clear product copy, presenting work to executives and stakeholders, managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, and ensuring alignment with accessibility, legal, and anti-discrimination requirements. Strong cross-functional collaboration and the ability to build consensus around content recommendations are essential. This position requires 12+ years in UX writing, content design, or strategy, ideally from global consumer tech or marketplace companies. You should have proven experience leading content projects end-to-end, working with localization platforms and translation services, writing content frameworks and style guides, and presenting to leadership. Proficiency in Figma is expected, and fluency in German, Spanish, French, or Italian is a welcome bonus. You'll thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments while working independently and collaborating across design disciplines.
