AEVEX seeks a Director of Programs for Tactical Systems to lead a multidisciplinary team managing a portfolio of technical development and production contracts in Tampa, Florida. This leadership role owns P&L responsibility across programs while ensuring on-time, on-budget execution and strategic alignment with corporate objectives. You'll conduct monthly program reviews, oversee annual operating plans and forecasts, mentor program managers, and drive performance across financial, schedule, technical, and customer satisfaction metrics while proactively managing risks. The ideal candidate combines strong program management expertise with business acumen, demonstrating the ability to navigate complex technical and business challenges in fast-paced environments. You should excel at building internal and external relationships, possess proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office applications, and show capability in financial forecasting and contract analysis. Additionally, you'll support business development initiatives, participate in proposal reviews, and collaborate with engineering teams on strategic roadmap planning. A Top Secret/SCI DoD security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required, with the ability to obtain and maintain clearance essential. This is a full-time position that demands exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, strategic vision paired with hands-on problem-solving, and a demonstrated commitment to developing talent and fostering organizational culture.

The Director of Programs for Tactical Systems is responsible for profit and loss across a portfolio of technical development and/or production programs.
