Airbnb's Community Support team manages tens of millions of customer interactions annually across phone, chat, messaging, and social channels, handling issues ranging from cancellations to safety claims. You'll join as a Forecasting and Demand Planning Analyst responsible for predicting contact volume across all support channels and ensuring the team has adequate staffing with the right skills to meet service targets while controlling costs. The role blends statistical modeling, advanced analytics, and business strategy. You'll develop and maintain demand forecasting models using techniques like time series analysis and machine learning, perform scenario planning for peak periods and product launches, and continuously monitor forecast accuracy. Working with data engineering partners, you'll build automated dashboards and pipelines to scale these processes. Beyond analysis, you'll present findings to senior leadership, align cross-functional teams around planning outputs, and drive process improvements that balance service quality with operational efficiency. This position requires 10+ years in demand forecasting, capacity planning, or applied analytics, with a quantitative degree (mathematics, statistics, operations research, or related field). You should have hands-on expertise building forecasting and capacity models, strong SQL and Python skills, and deep knowledge of contact center operations and metrics. This is a full-time role based in the United States.

The group handles hundreds of issues across categories including Cancellations, Account Issues, Refunds, Payments, Reservations, Extenuating Circumstances, Booking & Listing issues, Safety & Claims. The organization is globally distributed with offices in San Francisco, Dublin, Montreal, Seattle, Singapore, Manila, Gurgaon and an extensive partner network serving all regions.
The Difference You Will Make:
We are looking for a seasoned Forecasting and Demand Planning Analyst on our Community Support (CS) team. This individual is responsible for demand forecasting and long-term planning across multi-channel contact center operations for our Global Operations team. This role ensures the organization has the right resources, at the right time, with the right skills to meet service level objectives while optimizing cost and productivity.
The role combines planning, advanced analytics and business partnership to drive scalable, data-driven workforce decisions in a complex, fast-changing environment.
