Accordion, a financial consulting firm serving private equity sponsors and portfolio companies, is seeking a Vice President of Data Science & Strategy to lead analytical initiatives that drive business transformation. You'll sit at the intersection of data and strategy, uncovering insights from complex datasets across sectors like retail, healthcare, and technology, then translating those findings into actionable growth strategies for clients. Working directly with executive leadership, you'll own strategic initiatives from conception through execution, traveling to client sites to lead AI assessments and strategy engagements while measuring impact and refining approaches.

This role demands someone rare—a data scientist with strategic instincts and a strategist fluent in quantitative methods. You should have 5+ years in analytical roles with increasing responsibility, strong expertise in statistics, machine learning, and SQL/Python/R, and proven ability to influence business decisions through data. Beyond technical depth, you need business acumen around P&Ls and unit economics, plus the communication skills to make complex analyses accessible to non-technical stakeholders and executives.

The position is hybrid-based in one of Accordion's US offices (Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, or San Francisco) with flexibility for two remote days weekly.
