# Software Engineer II - Full Stack at Abnormal

Abnormal AI is hiring a Software Engineer II to join the Threat Narrative team, which transforms complex detection signals into clear, understandable stories for enterprise customers facing advanced email and collaboration attacks. You'll own fullstack features end-to-end, building customer-facing portal components and internal tools that explain how threats were detected and stopped. The work combines backend API development with modern frontend design, leveraging GenAI and LLM systems to distill thousands of detection signals into concise, actionable explanations that customers can immediately act on.

This role suits engineers with 2+ years of production experience shipping fullstack web applications in cloud environments. You'll need strong proficiency in Python and Django on the backend, React and Typescript on the frontend, plus hands-on experience with relational databases like Postgres and production observability tools. A CS degree or equivalent practical experience is required, along with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Security, and cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into clean technical solutions.

The position is fully remote within the USA. Experience with LLM/GenAI integration, cybersecurity or threat intelligence domains, and big data technologies like Spark or Airflow are valued bonuses. You'll participate in SLA ownership, incident response, and work alongside senior engineers who will mentor you while you shape how customers understand threat detection quality at scale.
