# Forward Deployed Engineer, Data & Analytics at Accordion

Accordion, a financial consulting firm serving private equity sponsors and CFOs, is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer for its Data & Analytics team. You'll work across multiple US office locations (Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco) and travel to client sites as needed to deliver data-driven solutions and strategy engagements.

In this role, you'll bridge data science and business strategy, transforming complex challenges into quantifiable opportunities for PE-backed companies across retail, healthcare, technology, and other sectors. Your work spans identifying strategic questions, building analytical frameworks to answer them, and presenting insights that reshape how businesses operate—from pricing and market expansion to resource allocation and competitive positioning. You'll own initiatives end-to-end, measuring impact and iterating based on results.

This position requires 5+ years in data science, engineering, or related roles with growing strategic responsibility, combined with strong technical skills in statistics, machine learning, Python, R, and SQL. You'll need the rare ability to think strategically like an executive while remaining deeply technical, explain complex analyses to non-technical stakeholders, and understand business fundamentals like unit economics and operational levers. US work authorization is required; immigration sponsorship is not available. Ideal candidates are local to their desired office location.
