AEVEX is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to take ownership of substantial electrical system design and development efforts for unmanned systems including UAVs, UGVs, and USVs. You'll design and maintain avionics, power subsystems, RF communication systems, and related electronics while also leading team members and mentoring junior engineers. Key responsibilities span circuit design, PCB schematic and layout review, embedded systems integration, troubleshooting production issues, and supporting flight test operations alongside managing the transition of customer-funded projects into production.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in circuit design, embedded microcontrollers, battery systems, and motor control alongside proficiency with ECAD tools like Altium. You should be comfortable with RF simulation, electrical simulation software like LTspice, mechanical CAD, ARM-based embedded programming in C/C++, and practical lab work with oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers. Familiarity with unmanned vehicle avionics, industry communication protocols, and military standards strengthens your candidacy.

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Tampa, Florida. The role demands strong independent and collaborative skills, with leadership capability to guide cross-functional teams through technical challenges and design improvements.
