The director will oversee quarterly and annual tax provision preparation, manage SEC filings and SOX 404 controls, lead federal and international tax compliance efforts, and develop tax optimization strategies including M&A support. This role requires deep expertise in ASC 740, evolving tax legislation like BEPS Pillar Two and GILTI rules, and coordination across Finance, Legal, and external advisors to enhance the company's overall tax position.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of progressive tax experience with demonstrated public company and SOX environment background. A CPA is strongly preferred along with a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Beyond technical proficiency, this director must exhibit strong analytical and communication skills, strategic leadership capabilities, and talent management expertise to build and develop the tax team while presenting complex tax matters to senior leadership and audit committees.

Positions are available in Huntsville, Alabama or Solana Beach, California on a full-time basis. U.S. citizenship is required due to the need to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
