# Air Vehicle Operator 2 - LEA at AEVEX

AEVEX seeks an experienced Unmanned Aircraft System Pilot in Command to operate advanced, long-endurance platforms supporting Department of Defense missions at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. You'll handle the complete mission lifecycle—from planning and preflight checks through flight operations and post-mission analysis—while monitoring aircraft systems to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. This position suits candidates with substantial UAS piloting experience, holding an FAA Private Pilot's License with instrument rating and a current Class II Medical Certificate. You'll need at least 100+ flight hours as a UAS pilot in command, 2-4 years of related experience, and familiarity with beyond-line-of-sight operations and autopilot systems. Prior manned aviation hours (500-1000 preferred) and experience with Group 3+ unmanned systems strengthen your candidacy. US citizenship, a valid passport, and ability to meet Department of Defense contractor and combatant command theater entry requirements are mandatory.

This full-time, on-site role operates on a shift and waterfall schedule with potential for CONUS and OCONUS deployments. You must be willing to relocate to a CONUS duty location and commit to extended work hours in a fast-paced team environment. Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and collaboration tools, combined with excellent communication abilities across all management levels, are essential for success.
