# AI Data Specialist at Accordion

Accordion's AI Lab is building agentic-AI solutions that power financial consulting for private equity clients and their portfolio companies. This Data Specialist role sits within a specialized delivery pod combining AI engineering, data science, and product management to transform how PE-backed companies manage finance and operations. You'll be the bridge between messy source systems and production-ready data pipelines, working directly with AI engineers and product managers to scope requirements, diagnose quality issues, and build the data foundations that intelligent systems rely on.

The role demands someone comfortable moving fast in ambiguous environments where timelines are tight and problems shift. You'll own end-to-end data delivery across multiple engagements—from initial source system assessment through deployed pipelines. Your responsibilities span custom ML model development, rapid dataset exploration and quality diagnostics, enterprise data system navigation (ERPs, BI platforms, financial infrastructure), and client-facing sessions where you'll explain findings to non-technical audiences like CFOs. Strong communication matters as much as technical chops; you'll translate client problems into reliable data products and tell data stories clearly.

This position is hybrid (remote 2 days weekly) across eight US office locations: Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco. Ideal candidates are local to their preferred office. The role does not offer immigration sponsorship.
